PLCC FLASH CHIP INSTALL

MASK ROM Pin Out

This is the correct pin out of the SOP32 pads on a Game Boy / Game Boy Colour carts.

This is the correct PLCC Flash Chip pin out you will need as well. This is a 8Mbit "080" chip.

Example of how you can use a stock PLCC chip to build you own game cart. It is tricky to do.. but is very doable if PLCC chips are all you can get. I DO recommend using SOP 32 chips instead!

Side view showing how the pins line up with the mask rom pads... It's hard to solder as the correct alignment of the PLCC chip isn't completely straight..

Here are the linking wires you need to do for the PLCC chip. Its quite fine soldering.. but just take your time and it will be fine.
